Waterhouse FC became an affiliate of both the Jamaica Football Federation and the Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association , in the late seventies.
Ever since it's inception the club has been a part of the Waterhouse and Drewsland communities, acting basically as a buffer uniting the two communities through it's activities.
This is done by providing a safe place for the youths of the communities in developing their footballing skills while providing gainful employment for some.

There the club participated until they were again regulated to the lower Leagues in 1992. During this time the club was to win it's first silverware in competitive competitions.
